Press release date: March 28, 2011

ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 28-Kodak's Russell Hunt has earned recognition as a 2011 Channel Chief by Everything Channel's CRN for the second consecutive year. Notably, Hunt has led the successful channel integration of two existing channel communities within Kodak. Through Hunt's leadership efforts, Kodak expands its channel capabilities to provide customer-focused applications across a broad range of vertical industries.

Hunt serves as Regional Business Manager, United States and Canada, Kodak's Business Solutions and Services Group. In his current role, he oversees marketing, sales and business development programs in the US&C to expand opportunities with channel partners, developers and end users. Hunt is an industry veteran with more than 28 years of service experience within the hi-tech document capture channel. He began demonstrating strong leadership in 2009 when he led the acquisition of the BOWE BELL + HOWELL (BBH) scanner division.

Since assuming his role, Hunt has grown the sales group by approximately one-third, in addition to starting new business development initiatives that include: new health-care solution provider agreements, work with Microsoft's SHAREPOINT reseller community, building a strategic accounts program, developing public sector partner programs and increasing multi-vendor service initiatives.

"Over the past several years, Russell has demonstrated the capabilities of a truly transformational leader," said Tony Barbeau, General Manager, Document Imaging, Kodak's Business Solutions and Services Group. "His commitment to fostering collaboration and new relationships with Kodak's extensive network of channel partners is evidenced by the recognition from CRN. Today's fast-paced, information-driven environment demands that customers receive more customized, vertically-focused applications to meet their business and industry needs. Whether the public sector, healthcare or solutions driven by MICROSOFT SHAREPOINT Server, Kodak works with its channel partners to create new opportunities and enable customers with a broader range of choices in hardware, software, solutions and services."

This year's Channel Chiefs were chosen by the CRN Editorial staff. Applicants were judged based on policy and program innovations made during the past year, the amount of revenue their company generates through partners, their willingness to speak out publicly on behalf of the channel, and the number of years they have dedicated to channel activities.

"The CRN Channel Chiefs list is a comprehensive listing of the leading channel executives at vendor organizations and their accomplishments," said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, Everything Channel. "This prestigious list serves as a valuable must-read for solution providers looking to get to right contacts within the vendor community. We applaud this year's Channel Chiefs for their successful partner programs and strategies."
