Customers Can Now View Complete Catalog Online
Rochester, NY -- Klein Steel Service Inc, the premier supplier and processor of metals in Upstate New York, has introduced a new Web site at www.kleinsteel.com. The site provides detailed information for customers and prospects about Klein Steel's services, products, processing capabilities and people. It also reflects Klein's customer-centric philosophy of "Stronger. For Your Success."
"As a company, we are all about world-class metals processing and innovative solutions," said president John Batiste. "Our goal is to take our customer's 'pain' away through our passion for excellence. These aren't just words. This is how we live our business every day and we needed a Web site that reflected this ethos and our values. Now we have it and hope our customers and prospects will explore it to see how we truly are a different and better metals supplier."
Site visitors can quickly learn about the extensive processing and distribution capabilities of Klein Steel, including recent equipment additions of state-of-the-art laser, waterjet, and milling technologies, as well as a Kasto automatic storage and retrieval system in support of a commitment to next-day delivery.
One unique site feature is a link to the Klein Catalog, featuring a comprehensive listing of the metals and materials that Klein Steel carries and stocks. The link, found on the site's home page, allows a visitor to leaf through the catalog page by page, in a similar fashion to having the actual printed catalog in front of them. "Customers can now view our catalogue in hard copy or on the web; we want to make working with us very easy for our customers," noted Batiste.
Part of the site will soon be devoted to resources for customers, including account information, invoices, open accounts receivable, and material certifications for purchased materials. Existing customers will be able to securely log-in through a customer portal to access this type of information.
Other sections of the site include: About Us, Products/Services, Careers, News, and Locations. The Careers area provides an active database of open positions at Klein Steel, and allows interested individuals to complete and submit an online employment interest form and attach their resume.
Along with its Rochester headquarters, Klein operates locations in Buffalo and Syracuse as well as Rochester Steel and Surplus, a subsidiary offering metals and other materials as an outlet. Plans are also underway to expand service into the Albany region in the near future.
Klein Steel's four facilities now total over 360,000 square feet with 13,000 tons of inventory. The company serves over 2,500 customers in Western and Central New York, the Southern Tier, Northern Pennsylvania and across the country.
