KTI is growing yet again, this time by using new technology to expand and upgrade its equipment.
A Hamilton Standard W-2 7.5 KW Electron Beam Welding machine has been reconditioned and is being retrofitted with a 4-axis CNC system. The machine, with a chamber size of 62" x 62" x 64", will soon be used for development work in advanced electron beam technology areas utilizing wire feed techniques.
A new LaserStar Workstation is now used for welding of sub-assemblies and light laser welding applications.
Leak Detection capability has also been expanded, and now includes a new Varian Helium Leak Detector.
