Roberts its Sales Manager for OEM Markets. Based in Chicago, Roberts will represent MIRATECH's growing line of reciprocating engine emission solutions and exhaust after-treatment products, technology and capabilities to original equipment manufacturers that face increasingly strict and complex emission regulations. Roberts will also assume market development responsibility for MIRATECH's emissions control products in the diesel locomotive market - an emerging category now being targeted for engine emission controls by federal and state regulators.
"With over 18 years of diesel engine and exhaust after treatment experience, Jonathan brings an impressive background of high-level experience to this important new MIRATECH position," says MIRATECH Sales Director, David Zenthoefer. "He has broad and extensive domestic and international experience managing commercial relationships with OEM and end-user customers with a strong focus on both regional and national emission regulations issues," Zenthoefer adds.
Prior to joining MIRATECH, Roberts was Director, Diesel Business Development for Arizona-based Catalytica Energy Systems, Inc., an emissions reduction technology supplier to the diesel and gas turbine markets.
The drive to control reciprocating engine exhaust emissions of nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and volatile organic compounds is growing in the U.S., according to MIRATECH Sales and Marketing VP, Bill Clary. "We are expanding our offerings to markets where regulatory emphasis creates a need for our
exhaust after treatment technologies for reciprocating industrial engines," Clary says. "We believe the OEM, locomotive and marine engine categories now being more closely targeted by regulators will soon require many of the types of emission control technologies we now either offer or are developing."
