Johnson Matthey Appoints Jeffrey Sherman Business Manager for Its Stationary Emissions Control (SEC) Operation in Pennsylvania
MALVERN, PA, June 21, 2010 - Jeffrey Sherman, has been appointed Business Manager for Johnson Matthey's Stationary Emissions Control (SEC) group's Industrial Processes and Engines (IPE) business unit headquartered in Malvern, PA. He will be responsible for managing the group's activities in North America.
SEC Managing Director Michael T. Cinaglia said Sherman will lead the IPE Team that provides emissions control catalysts and systems for a wide range of industrial processes, as well as gas and diesel engines used in gas compression, power generation, locomotive and marine applications.
"Sherman has extensive management, sales and marketing, strategic planning, operations and distribution experience in the power generation and heavy-duty commercial engine businesses", said Cinaglia.
Sherman previously worked for nearly 20 years as Vice President and General Manager for Ransome Engine, a division of Giles and Ransome, Inc., a full-line Caterpillar Power System distributor. At Ransome, Sherman, in addition to his other duties and responsibilities, directed efforts to develop the distributor's emissions control business focusing on SCR systems, diesel oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filters.
Before joining Ransome, he was Vice President of Sales and Engineering at Engine Improvement Services, Canton, OH; and Regional Sales Manager for the Waukesha Engine Division, Dresser Industries, Waukesha, WI.
