John Horsley responds to Obama's FY 2013 budget proposal.

February 15, 2012 - AASHTO Executive Director, John Horsley, issued statement upon release of President Barack Obama's Fiscal Year 2013 budget. AASHTO is encouraged to see continued support for multiyear, fully funded surface transportation bill. With Senate and House of Representatives also moving ahead on surface transportation bills, real progress is being made on reauthorization that will provide states with certainty they need to plan the right projects for their communities.

WASHINGTON - AASHTO Executive Director John Horsley today issued the following statement upon the release by President Barack Obama of his Fiscal Year 2013 budget:

"We are encouraged to see in the president's budget continued support for a multiyear, fully funded surface transportation bill," Horsley said. "With the Senate and the House of Representatives also moving ahead on surface transportation bills this week, we see real progress on reauthorization that will provide states with the certainty they need to plan the right projects for their communities and that enable states to deliver projects faster."
