Revised - ANSI/AMCA STANDARD 250-05 (Rev. 2012), Laboratory Methods of Testing Jet Tunnel Fans for Performance



Arlington Heights, IL USA - The Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc. (AMCA International) announced that the Board of Standards Review of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has recently approved a revision ANSI/AMCA 250-2012, Laboratory Methods of Testing Jet Tunnel Fans for Performance, on February 22, 2012.

This standard deals with the determination of those technical characteristics needed to describe all aspects of the performance of jet tunnel fans. It does not cover those fans designed for ducted application nor those designed solely for air circulation, e.g., ceiling fans and table fans.

The test procedures described in this standard relate to laboratory conditions. The measurement of performance under in-situ conditions is not included.

AMCA International is accredited by ANSI as a standards developer using the "canvass" method. The canvass method provides and promotes a process that verifies the principles of openness have been followed in the approval procedure.
