Erie, PA - Mike Mankosa, Eriez® Vice President-Operations, announces the promotion of Jaisen Kohmuench to the newly created position of Deputy Managing Director, Eriez Flotation Division-USA. Kohmuench joined Eriez more than 10 years ago as a Research Engineer and most recently served as Manager - R&D Process Group.

In his new role, Kohmuench's responsibilities will include management of all aspects of the daily operations for Eriez Flotation Division-USA. Kohmuench will report directly to Eric Wasmund, Managing Director-Global Operations, Eriez Flotation Division.

"Since joining Eriez, Jaisen's efforts to further develop Eriez' MMP product line have resulted in entirely new market sectors in coal and industrial minerals for our line of flotation equipment," says Mankosa. "His efforts have resulted in millions of dollars of additional sales revenue and have helped to expand this product line to our international affiliates."

Kohmuench was the 2007 recipient of the the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration's Woomer Award, the organization's most prestigious award for young professionals. During his career, Kohmuench has written more than 60 technical papers and has made dozens of professional presentations at various domestic and international conferences.

Kohmuench attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree of science, a master's degree of science and a doctorate in mining engineering. He also holds an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification and is preparing for his Professional Engineers (PE) Exam.
