Industry Accolades Underscore Success of Altera's Customer-Driven Product Strategy

San Jose, Calif., February 7, 2006-Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) today announced that their programmable solutions were named both winners and nominees for distinguished industry awards:
o The Altera® HardCopy® II structured ASIC design flow was named a 2006 DesignVision award winner at DesignCon from the International Engineering Consortium (IEC)
o Altera's Stratix® II GX FPGA family was awarded Product of the Year 2005 by analogZONE for "Best Connectivity PHY"
o Altera's HardCopy II structured ASIC was nominated for EDN's 2005 Innovation of the Year award
o EE Times named Altera's Cyclone(TM) II family (EP2C70 device) and video-over-IP reference design as Ultimate Product Finalists for the 2006 EE Times ACE Awards
These awards and nominations reflect Altera's success in providing programmable solutions that were built based on valuable feedback from its customers that in turn drive their innovation and productivity.
