Industrial Video Introduces Cellular PTZ Camera

Industrial Video & Control and WAAV collaborate to introduce surveillance camera system accessible via 3G cellular networks.
Newton, MA - August 7, 2006 - Industrial Video & Control Co. (IVC), a leading provider of networked-based video surveillance systems, announced today that it has introduced a new line of cameras designed for use with cellular network infrastructures. The new camera line utilizes cellular technology developed by WAAV Inc., manufacturer of 3G cellular equipment for mobile applications.

The initial product offering is a color, outdoor, pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera with an 18x optical zoom. Other PTZ and fixed cameras will soon be available. The camera comes ready to work within an EVDO Rev. A cellular network (such as Sprint®). When used with IVC camera management software, users can remotely access and control the camera. This camera system is ideal for applications that require temporary video surveillance, such as construction and public safety.
