Inc. Magazine Names Saddle Creek One of Fastest-Growing Private Companies
Lakeland, Fla., Â – Saddle Creek Logistics Services is one of the fastest-growing private companies in America, according to Inc. magazine. Just released, the 2013 Inc. 5000 is an exclusive ranking of the top 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the nation, based on percentage revenue growth over a three-year period. This is Saddle Creek’s second consecutive year on the list.
Based in Lakeland, Fla., Saddle Creek provides third-party logistics services, including warehousing, transportation, fulfillment and packaging. The company has grown significantly in recent years and now employs more than 2,200 associates and operates more than 16 million square feet of space in 37 locations nationwide.
Over the last three years, Saddle Creek achieved more than 47 percent revenue growth. In 2010, Saddle Creek expanded its fulfillment services with the acquisition of a San Diego-based fulfillment company. In 2011, Saddle Creek enhanced its transportation capabilities by investing in a compressed natural gas (CNG) fleet to support customers’ sustainability initiatives as well as its own. Last year, the company expanded operations for existing customers and added several new locations around the country, including Seattle; Ontario, Calif.; Fort Worth, Texas; and Birmingham, Ala.

The 2013 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2009 to 2012. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2009. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2012.
