Scheduled for Nov 13, 2012, during IPC/SMTA Higher Reliability Cleaning and Coating Conference, Conformal Coating technical workshop will teach basics of conformal coating and coating processes. Course will introduce fundamentals and assumes no prior knowledge of coatings. Topics include popular myths and misconceptions as well as commons causes of coating problems. Second half of course will teach the use and application of conformal coating in manufacturing environments.

ROSEMONT, IL — Industry-leading associations IPC and SMTA jointly announce the agenda for the Conformal Coating technical workshop to be held on Tuesday November 13, 2012 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. during the IPC/SMTA Higher Reliability Cleaning and Coating Conference, scheduled to take place November 13-15, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel – O’Hare in Chicago, IL. The conference is intensely focused on electronic assembly reliability, and the influence of cleaning and coating upon producing reliable hardware.
The workshop will be taught by Doug Pauls of Rockwell Collins and Jason Keeping of Celestica.
