Global engineering and joint-integrity services specialist Hydratight announces two senior management moves, effective immediately.

Chris Mitchell to be based at Hydratight's facility in Houston, takes over as Western Region business leader from Bob Boychuk, who in turn becomes nuclear portfolio manager.

Chris has been a senior figure at Hydratight since 2002, when he joined with an initiative to increase the company's general growth. He rose to the position of global powergen leaderbefore leaving briefly, in 2008, to spend six months with Hydratight parentcompany, Actuant Corporation, at the corporate headquarters in Wisconsin.

Chris returned to Hydratight in 2009 to become global marketing leader. In 2010 he also headed the team responsible for integrating newly-acquired company Biach Industries of New Jersey into the Hydratight family.

In his new role as Western Region business leader he is responsible for all operations in North, South and Central America.

Bob Boychuk takes over the role as nuclear portfolio manager - focused on the Biach brand of high-specification tensioning tools.

Bob joined Hydratight in 2004, and has been responsible for, among other projects, driving the growth in the US and Canada to where it is today.

He has extensive experience in various management roles: before joining Hydratight he managed manufacturing and sales teams in multi-million dollar operations such as Xerox, Stanley Tools, and FedEx for over two decades, and has worked in a variety of industries including powergen, petrochemicals, general engineering, military and other speciality markets.

"These moves signal an internal preparation for Hydratight's continued aggressive growth into existing and new markets, with new product and service initiatives on several fronts over the next few months," said Jan de Koning, global business leader for Hydratight.

"Bob has vast experience in this field and will push our nuclear division to new heights, while Chris has the sort of incisive mind that can pull a multitude of business strands together to create remarkable new opportunities for the company."
