Load, Pressure, and Torque: Sensor Selection, Technology, and Applications for Test and Measurement

MINNEAPOLIS, November 9, 2009 - Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced that it is sponsoring a free webinar, titled "Load, Pressure, and Torque: Sensor Selection, Technology, and Applications." This educational webinar session, aimed at users of test and measurement sensor products, will be broadcast on Tuesday, November 17th, 2009, starting at 12:00 Noon ET (9:00 AM Pacific). Brian Duffy, Global Applications Engineer, Test and Measurement Products, at Honeywell Sensing and Control will be the webinar presenter. The webinar will focus on the importance of utilizing high quality pressure, load, and torque sensors, starting with the correct selection, design, and installation for the application, which is critical to ensuring data integrity when using today's measurement systems. Specific topics addressed will include:

o An overview of the various types of testing technology for pressure, load, and torque sensors; o The benefits of test validation, and low test error by utilizing these sensors in demanding test and measurement applications; and o The value of utilizing quality outputs from sensors, combined with ease of connectivity and setup to modern data acquisition systems.

"This educational webinar session is for both new and experienced individuals who need to set up various types of test and measurement applications with today's sensors and data acquisition equipment," said Beth Wozniak, president of Honeywell Sensing and Control. "Attendees will learn more about the various types of load, pressure, and torque technologies out there today, how to select and install the correct product for various types of applications; and ways to simplify setup and testing with today's modern instrumentation."

The webinar will conclude with a live question and answer session with Mr. Duffy. For those unable to attend the live broadcast, the Webinar will be archived and can be accessed via a link from the Honeywell Test and Measurement website.

Brian Duffy is the Global Applications Engineering Manager - Test and Measurement Products for Honeywell Sensing and Control, and is located in Columbus, OH. Brian was born in Dublin, Ireland, where he completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, BSc (Eng). Brian has more than 21 years of experience in Product Design, Project and Program Management, and Engineering Management serving a variety of industries, including: Automotive, Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceutical, and Industrial Automation.
