Hobart Brothers Names New Vice President and General Manager


Troy, OHIO. October 19, 2006-Today, Hobart Brothers named Grant Harvey as the new Vice President and General Manager for its North American Tubular Wire Division. In this new role, Mr. Harvey is responsible for Hobart Brothers' tubular wire business in both the U.S. and Canada.

Mr. Harvey's welding experience spans over two decades. Most recently, he served as Hobart Brothers' Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the company's Global Tubular Wire Division. In this capacity, Mr. Harvey developed, directed and implemented several successful end-user and distributor-focused growth strategies.

"Under my new position, I will ensure that Hobart Brothers continues to lead the industry in terms of quick, responsive product delivery and technical support for our valued distributor partners and end-users," says Harvey.

Mr. Harvey earned his metallurgical engineering degree from the University of Alberta and his MBA from McGill University in Montreal. He originally joined Hobart Brothers of Canada in 1998 and was eventually promoted to General Manager of the Canadian operations. Mr. Harvey also served as the General Manager of Sweden-based Elga Welding Products.
