Press release date: June 9, 2008
HollaenderŪ recently collaborated with Spohn Associates to deliver approximately 400 linear feet of Interna-RailŪ handrail to the Heartland Payment Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
The handrail consisted of anodized aluminum pipe and fittings, combined with 2" x 2" diamond shaped wire mesh infill panels. The infill panels were powder coated to match the anodized pipe and fittings, and were supported in the frame using the #145 panel retainers. Interna-RailŪ was utilized on the stairs, level balconies, and in radiused areas that overlooked the lowermost floor.
Hollaender's Interna-RailŪ was chosen for this application (stainless steel handrail with glass infill was used in other areas) because of its pleasing aesthetic, and an installed cost per foot that was considerably lower than the stainless steel alternative.
