Hamilton Sundstrand Launches Global Customer Response Center


WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn., Nov. 9, 2010 -- Hamilton Sundstrand, a subsidiary of United Technologies (NYSE: UTX), today began operations of its new Customer Response Center at its Windsor Locks, Conn., facility.

The Hamilton Sundstrand Customer Response Center is a technologically advanced center designed to respond and support customer needs ranging from critical spare parts to technical support.

"Hamilton Sundstrand's new Customer Response Center serves as a key differentiator in the marketplace by providing a single resource to coordinate across Hamilton Sundstrand's broad portfolio of businesses, platforms and facilities and our diverse customer base comprising several thousand commercial and military operators and business aircraft," said Matthew Bromberg, Hamilton Sundstrand Customer Service vice president and general manager. "Our ultimate goal is to provide the highest standard of customer support and to keep our customers' aircraft in the air."

The Customer Response Center, staffed by engineers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, will help keep customer aircraft flying by addressing technical issues and aircraft spare part orders. The center will feature new software to manage customer inquiries and create a master database allowing Hamilton Sundstrand's businesses to coordinate their efforts in addressing and resolving customer issues as quickly as possible.
