HSBC Chief Economist, Dennis Turner, to Deliver Keynote at SuccessFactors Third Annual Workforce Planning Summit, London

Summit to Illustrate How Best-in-Class Firms are Optimizing Workforce Productivity in a Climate of Cutbacks, Budget Restrictions and Pension Age Increases

LONDON, Nov. 9, 2010 -- Today, SuccessFactors, Inc. (Nasdaq: SFSF) announced the details of its Workforce Planning Summit to be held on Tuesday, December 7 at the Institute of Directors, London, UK.

Following the Government's Spending Review and the Prime Minister's recent Confederation of British Industry (CBI) conference address, the private sector is under increasing pressure to be the dynamism for strong economic growth while adapting to the necessary changes required over the next five years. Organizations must find practical ways of balancing cutbacks and budget reductions with skills, as well as plan for longer service tenure with the pension age increase while still matching the right people and roles with the right competencies and strategy.

Hosted by SuccessFactors Vice President, Peter Howes, this year's Workforce Planning Summit will illustrate how best-in-class firms are using workforce planning to achieve a range of outcomes, from improving top- and bottom-line financials to overhauling competency profiles required of next generation leaders. Delegates attending the Summit can gain insight on how to:

o Analyze industry and market trends to help optimize workforce productivity and efficiency;
o Align long-term plans with a near-term focus on operational management;
o Utilize workforce planning as a critical "lever" in front-line decision-making and long-term growth; and
o Integrate workforce planning with strategic and financial planning processes to build and maintain a competency framework.

The Workforce Planning Summit will feature presentations from:

o HSBC's Chief Economist, Dennis Turner, who will provide topical commentary on the prevailing economic conditions and how these may impact the way organizations plan their workforce;
o Alison Devenish, workforce programmes lead at HP, who will provide insight into 'The Value of Strategic Workforce Planning in a Changing Economy';
o Vanja Kisic, strategic workforce planning project manager, Group People & Organization at Telenor Group, who will provide an understanding of 'How to Gain Business Understanding and Credibility through an Effective Strategic Workforce Planning Process'; and
o Samuli Kivikko, global business process owner, strategic workforce planning and resourcing at Nokia, who will speak about 'Integrating Strategic Workforce Planning with Other Planning Processes'.

Additional presentations include 'SuccessFactors' Workforce Planning Methodology' by Anastasia Ellerby, vice president, Inform Services at SuccessFactors, and 'Measuring Strategic Workforce Planning's Contribution to Business Execution' by Steve Hunt, director of business transformation services at SuccessFactors.

In addition to the Summit, SuccessFactors is also running a two-day Workforce Planning workshop directly following the Summit on December 8-9 for human resource business practitioners and senior directors to gain a more in-depth understanding into workforce analytics as part of their ongoing professional development.
