BARABOO, WI (May 12, 2009) - Hammond Power Solutions (HPS), the leading manufacturer of dry-type electrical transformers in North America, is expanding its efforts to develop new business in the U.S. distributor market by naming Mike Van Gheem, U.S. National Distribution Manager. Mr. Van Gheem has more than 15 years of experience in engineering and sales industry, including 10 years of experience with HPS.
Mr. Van Gheem's primary focuses will be to build on HPS' number one position in the dry-type electrical transformer industry by developing new markets, coordinating the sales force within the U.S. and leading product development projects for customers. "Mike has an extensive history with HPS. His prior experience and understanding of HPS' advanced technological capabilities, markets and distribution network, as well as the needs of our customers, makes him ideal for this position," said Ken Hermann, Marketing Manager of Hammond Power Solutions. "Under his direction, we will be able to develop an even stronger presence in the U.S. distributor market."
HPS' extensive engineering resources has enabled it to develop more than one million transformer designs for products that are well-suited for commercial, industrial, manufacturing or production process applications, regardless of the environmental conditions. Theses products enhance the offerings to prominent markets in the U.S. including oil and gas, mining, steel, waste and water treatment, industrial and utilities. HPS manufactures a wide range of energy efficient transformers suitable for LEED building applications that provide energy savings, increased performance and longer operating life expectancy.
