Dallas, Texas, USA - In addition to their flagship Sigma G5 high-performance, compact, modular mounter, the Production Systems Division (PSD) of Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc. (HTA), will also exhibit powerful, innovative Production Support Systems and software tools that complement the G5's performance and capability. These will be shown at IPC/APEX 2012 in Booth #2440. IPC/Apex 2012 Conference and Exhibition takes place February 28 - March 1 at the San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California. HTA is a global leader in advanced instrumentation and electronics manufacturing and assembly equipment.
Production support systems will include the EG-100 Offline library creation system, a table-top system that offers the same teaching capability that is built into the placement machines; the NT-100 Offline programming station, through which the pattern program, component library, and all other data can be stored on a central server for easier access to all users as well as convenient backup, and also the JG-0243 CPK Measuring machine, also on display, as well as the Off-line change over software and feeder setup station.
The NT-100 offline programming system performs a number of functions that include pattern program creation and editing; program optimization and placement simulation; component library creation and editing; management report viewing; nozzle and system data viewing and editing, and more.NT-100 software can be installed on several networked computers and shared or used simultaneously. Plus, pattern program, component library, and all other data can be stored on a central server for easier access to all users as well as convenient backup.
The EG-100 Offline Component Library Teaching System is a table-top system that offers the same teaching capability that is built into the placement machines. Components are easily positioned and taught on a flat pedestal. Utilizing the included vacuum pump, the user can choose to teach parts on their actual vacuum nozzle. A software wizard drives the component teaching process. Simplicity is the key to reliability. With no moving parts and no required calibrations, the system is maintenance free and simple to use.
The JG-0243 Cpk Measuring machine is used to measure the accuracy of component placement. Process capability index (Cp, Cpk), variations in the accuracy of component placement (3 sigmas, etc.) can be measured. The results of accuracy measurement for each individual nozzle make it possible to pinpoint problems and make corrections beforehand.
