Boyne City, MI -Industrial Magnetics, Inc.(IMI) is offering a free, Third-Party Plant Audit for processing companies who need an independent evaluation of their magnetic equipment in order to maintain their quality and safety certification through programs such as BRC Global Standards, SQF and HACCP.
Because magnetic separators are used in processing plants to remove metal contaminants from a product stream, they are often categorized as "critical control points" within the facility and therefore require annual evaluation from an independent third party for the re-certification process.
As magnetic separators can potentially lose magnetic strength over time due to damage, exposure to heat, etc., an evaluation using a magnetic pull test is performed by a trained representative of IMI to ensure that the magnetic equipment is performing within the acceptable threshold.
Upon completion of the audit, full documentation will be presented to the customer, along with recommendations for correctable action that may need to be taken in order to return the magnet to its' original holding value.
