Ferraz Shawmut Appoints New VP of Marketiung


Newburyport, Mass., July 31, 2006 - Ferraz Shawmut, a global leader in the field of circuit protection, today announced that Stephen Colvin has been appointed Vice President of Marketing. His responsibilities comprise management of all aspects of the marketing department including product line management, marketing communications, public relations and market research.

Colvin previously spent 14 years at ABB Inc., most recently as Director of Product Management. He holds a bachelor's degree in physics from Longwood University, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration from Midwestern State University.

Additionally, Ferraz Shawmut appointed Kent Walker to the new role of Director of Technical Sales and Services. Walker will lead the company's efforts in offering top-level technical and customer services and will be responsible for the Application Engineering, Customer Service and Industrial Market Development teams.
Finally, Ann Sicard was appointed to Marketing Communications Specialist. She will report to Colvin.
