FIREPRO ® Names New Manager for Fire Protection Engineering Group.

June 2005, Andover, Massachusetts ....FIREPRO Incorporated, one of the fire industry's leading professional service organizations, recently named Kurt A. Ruchala, P.E. as the organizations' new Manager of Fire Protection Engineering. He will be responsible for directing FIREPRO's group of fire protection engineers and associates, and will contribute to the Fire Investigation side of the business as well.
A 15 year veteran in the Fire Service community, Kurt has over 10 years with FIREPRO serving as a project manager and providing consulting, engineering, hazard analysis, and code consulting services on a wide range of projects. He also provides computer fire and egress modeling services to support new building designs, existing building analysis, and fire-related litigation.
Mr. Ruchala participates on SFPE's Design Fire Task Group, holds an MS in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is a Registered Professional Engineer in MA, CT, RI and NY. He is also an active call fire officer. He is a member of NFPA, SFPE and served as past president of the New England Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers.
According to FIREPRO's President, Lee C. DeVito, "Kurt will fill the position held by Sr. Associate James F. Barth, a 40 year fire industry veteran, who is starting to plan for his future retirement."
