Excellence in the Field of Balancing

Busch Precision Takes Part in SmartBalancer Training

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Busch Precision took to the field for some hands-on training of the Schenck SmartBalancer from Leo Milito, Senior Application Engineer for Schenck Trebel Corporation.  Joining Leo were Busch Precision’s three “point-men”, responsible for the SmartBalancer – Mark Groth, Dean Katzka, and Jarrod Breitzman – as well as the Busch Sales Team.

The SmartBalancer simply and accurately identifies unbalance within a machine. Rotors of almost any size and weight can be balanced quickly, cost-effectively, and accurately in their installed condition without having to dismantle the machine. The technicians observed as Leo demonstrated how to take measurements; from the importance of where to place the acceleration sensor, capturing the data, and saving it to the device, to reading and analyzing the results.

“The SmartBalancer is great! It’s a state of the art tool that is easy to use and handle. The compact design is a huge advantage, making on-site diagnosis a welcomed benefit for both Busch Precision and its clients.” – Dean Katzka, Mechanical Technician for Busch Precision

“It was nice to see the SmartBalancer in action. The complex work that Busch can accomplish in the metallurgy field is just another added benefit to working with their team.” - Paul Hagen, Fox Point Water Utility Foreman
