Emulex Gains Market Share in Fibre Channel HBA and Blade Server Mezzanine Card Segments

Company's HBA Market Share Grows Four Times Faster than Nearest Competitor According to Dell'Oro Group's Second Quarter SAN Infrastructure Market Report
COSTA MESA, Calif., August 16, 2007 - Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced that it grew its share of the worldwide market for Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBA) by four percentage points during the second calendar quarter, marking a growth rate that is four times faster than its nearest competitor, according to Dell'Oro Group's second quarter SAN Infrastructure market analysis report. The Dell'Oro report also highlights Emulex's strong growth in blade server mezzanine cards and overall port shipments.

According to the report, Emulex has captured 40 percent of the total worldwide HBA market, up from 36 percent a year ago. Additionally, Emulex increased its share of the blade server mezzanine card market to 15 percent, an increase of six percentage points sequentially and in the 4Gb/s blade server mezzanine card market Emulex achieved 25 percent market share in the second quarter.
