EMX Begins LWIR 'Zoom Lens' System Deliveries

Melbourne, FL., - EMX announced it has begun deliveries of a true, Long Wave Infra-Red (LWIR) 'zoom lens' day/night surveillance system. The system incorporates a 640 x 480, 25 um LWIR FPA with a 15-100 mm zoom lens. Tim Arion, CEO said: "We are really excited about this zoom lens. The market has been waiting for this type lens for years. Heretofore, only 2-FOV lens were available in LWIR."

Based on the mature EMX 'Midwatch' design, the new system is a true long range day/night system. Mounted on a Pan/Tilt Unit, this long range system not only has the 15-100 mm LWIR zoom lens but also incorporates a Hitachi Color Camera with a Fujinon D60 lens and doubler. Tim Arion said:"The system truly provides outstanding range performance. With the color camera and lens combination, you can identify a person at 2 miles."
