ELIOŽ AQ is a metal adaptor for ELIOŽ optical contacts, for size 8 Quadrax cavities. It enables a standard ELIOŽ optical contact to be inserted into the size 8 Quadrax cavity of several connector types. The ELIOŽ AQ adaptor is already available for connectors in the MIL-DTL-38999/EN3645 series III, ARINC 404 and ARINC 600 ranges. All insert arrangement types with a size 8 cavity can thus be fitted with a fiber optic connection using the ELIOŽ optical contact.
With its ELIOŽ AQ adaptor, SOURIAU has facilitated the combination of optical and electrical connections into a single connector which was initially developed for electrical requirements only. This is the ideal solution for applications in a harsh operating environment with temperatures from -65°C to +125°C and intense vibration.
The ELIOŽ AQ adaptor safeguards all the benefits of the ELIOŽ contact:
- easy bayonet fitting, with no special tools required
- easy cleaning, with the female contact being surface-mounted on the insert, and not inset
- an IP 67 watertight solution with seals integrated into the ELIOŽ contact.
ELIOŽ AQ is easily implemented and flexible, for the integration of an ELIOŽ optical channel into an electrical connector´s size 8 Quadrax cavity.
