Dow Corning to Celebrate FINAT's 50th Anniversary at FINAT Congress

MIDLAND, MICHIGAN, USA: More than 300 label converters from around the world will assemble at the Joint FINAT/UNFEA Congress this June to celebrate FINAT's 50th anniversary and to take a closer look at the future of self-adhesive labeling. Dow Corning Corporation will have representatives on hand to discuss its newest silicone release coating technologies and solutions for filmic liners.
At Dow Corning's booth, the company will showcase its Syl-Off® Advantage Series with information on a new crosslinker for low-platinum release coatings. The proven high-speed release coating series offers reduced platinum requirements and costs. The company will also have literature available for its full product line.
For more than 25 of FINAT's 50 years, Dow Corning has been an active member in the group. One of the company's most notable active FINAT members is Andrew Jack. In 2007, Jack - a Dow Corning pressure sensitive release market expert - received the labeling industry's global R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to the industry, silicone release technology, and the development of global industry standards. In 2006, the FINAT Association awarded Jack with an Honorable Life Membership. Dow Corning also supports FINAT through conference sponsorships and participation.
The FINAT Congress will take place June 18-20 in Paris, France, at the Marriott Paris Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center. The focus of this year's event is "Rendezvous with the future." FINAT is the international association for self-adhesive labeling. UNFEA (Union Nationale des Fabricants d'Etiquettes Adhésives) is the French adhesive labels manufacturers' organization.
