Dow Corning silane technology expert Michael Backer will present "Sulfido Silanes in Tires - On the Road to Low VOC" at this year's European Silicon Days in Bath, England. Mr. Backer's presentation will discuss the role of organofunctional silanes in helping tire rubber manufacturers and material suppliers meet customer demand and regulations for more economical and environmentally sustainable products.
Also at the conference, the Dow Corning Corporation will announce the winner of the Dow Corning Young Scientist Award for Excellence in Silicon Chemistry. This prestigious award recognizes and encourages technical and intellectual excellence in silicon chemistry within the younger academic community.
