Applimotion has taken its popular UTS slotless frameless motors and created a packaged direct drive motor system. For applications that require tight speed control and ultimate smoothness for scanning or positioning, these direct drive motors can't be beat. Slotless motor technology coupled to direct drive precision mechanics and high resolution encoders make the perfect combination for precision, accuracy and smoothness.
These motors remain true to their ultra-thin origins with very low profile construction. Precision bearings and encoder up with more than 30,000,000 counts per revolution are routine. Low axial and radial run out make them perfect for pointing and scanning applications. They operate from industry standard brushless DC or brushless AC drivers from 12-300 volts and can be wound for low speed or high speed applications.
Another feature of these motors is a large through hole that can be used for pass through of optics or to be used with a slip ring for passing sensor wires through the motors core.
