CHANTILLY, Va. - DIRAK, Inc. and Reell Precision Manufacturing Corporation, two companies well known in the global engineering marketplace for locks, latches, hinges, handles, and access hardware, announced today an agreement to work together to pursue product innovation for their customers.
In addition to offering each others' products to their respective customers, the companies agreed to share information and look for ways in which they can combine technologies to better serve customers. The cooperative efforts will be based on both companies' broad technology base. In particular, DIRAK's D-SNAP technology and Reell's expertise in constant torque hinges, provide excellent synergy for their customers. "As a result of this combined effort, both companies will be able to offer an expanded array of solutions for customers," said Karl-Heinz Overhamm, DIRAK VP - Sales and Marketing.
Eric Donaldson, co-Chief Executive Officer of Reell, noted that the cooperative effort is a logical one. "Our companies are both known for engineered solutions, and both have an excellent reputation in the marketplace for high quality products," Donaldson said. He noted that the companies' existing product lines offer distinct technological advantages without competing with each other.
The companies plan to actively look for opportunities to combine their technologies for benefit of customers. Opportunities could include combining existing technologies or working together on completely new solutions. They also plan to give each other first preference when there's a business opportunity that includes the other's area of expertise.
DIRAK products are sold and distributed through a network of global sales representatives.
