Press release date: February 1, 2007

February 1st, 2007, Mansfield, MA-- C&D Technologies has developed a new design guide to assist engineers seeking DC/DC converters to power FPGA processors. The guide features product parametric tables as well as Xilinx and Altera FPGA application examples to guide designers towards the most appropriate solutions for the their system designs.

C&D's broad range of DC/DC converters is well suited to powering modern FPGA processors and provides numerous benefits when compared to approaches that use discrete components. These include a simplified design, increased reliability and efficiency, reduced component count, and PCB real estate savings. The modular design also helps minimise the need for design resources.

A combination of distributed power and intermediate bus architecture products can be effectively deployed to meet the requirements of leading FPGAs. These products include standard brick isolated converters, intermediate bus converters and non-isolated point-of-load converters.
