October 10, 2007 - Vancouver, WA -, Inc. announces that two more motion products - the RMC70 and the RMC150 controllers - have received the EtherNet/IP Conformance Tested(TM) mark from ODVA(TM), joining Delta's RMC100 motion controllers which already carry this mark. EtherNet/IP(TM) is a powerful industrial communication network that provides fast, deterministic data transfer between industrial components. The EtherNet/IP conformance testing program from ODVA ensures interoperability between network devices, easing integration. This Ethernet communications interface on Delta's controllers can be used to download parameters and variables to modify motion control programs from a master controller such as a PLC or industrial PC and also to upload motion systems information from the controllers to factory information or test systems. This interface features speeds of 10/100Mbps with full- or half-duplex operation along with Auto-negotiation and Auto-crossover detection. The controller supports Modbus/TCP, Allen-Bradley CSP, Omron FINS/UDP and EtherNet/IP including I/O messaging, providing compatibility with most industrial TCP/IP protocols.
These RMCs also provide a 12 Mbps USB interface. Either USB or Ethernet can be used to communicate to a PC running Delta's RMCTools software for controller configuration and programming as well as highspeed motion graphing and diagnostics for tuning and debugging.
