August 25, 2008 - Vancouver, WA - Delta Computer Systems, Inc. announces a National Instruments Plug-and-Play Certified Instrument Driver for controlling Delta's RMC family of motion controllers via Ethernet and Serial communications.

Delta's instrument driver achieved the highest rating of 5.0, underscoring Delta's commitment to providing customers with high-quality tools for efficient systems integration. In addition to the Plug-and-Play LabVIEW drivers, Delta provides an ActiveX Control and .Net Assembly for use with languages such as Visual Basic, VBA, Visual C++, C#, VBScript, and JavaScript, and includes fully functional examples on the deltamotion.com website.

"This instrument driver capability allows customers doing Testing and Data Acquisition to take advantage of DELTA RMC motion controllers for applications demanding precise control and traceability for position, speed, pressure or force," stated Steve Nylund, Delta's CEO. "NI and Delta in combination offer a Best in Class approach using powerful and intuitive RMCTools making it easier to develop and maintain production or non-destructive test (NDT) systems," Nylund added.

Delta's Family of RMC Motion Controllers are used for hydraulic, pneumatic and electric closed-loop control in a wide array of single and multi-axis NDT applications, including medical prosthesis testing, aerospace component testing, and metals and forest engineered materials strength testing. Delta's RMCTools software features flexible User Programs with an extensive command set, including robust mathematical expressions, setup wizards, automated loop tuning wizards and an intuitive plot manager for graphical diagnostics.
