(September 10, 2007) DataLase, originator of the award-winning DataLase® process, announces the appointment of Mark Muir as Business Development Manager for the UK. Mark joins DataLase to further develop the company's growth and to achieve increased sales across the UK. With over 25 years' experience in senior sales roles for companies such as Destiny Wireless Ltd. and Videojet technologies Ltd., Mark has developed a wealth of skills that he will be able to apply in his new role at DataLase. In his previous position as Regional Sales Manager for Videojet, Mark helped to generate up to 125% increase in turnover for central England in only five years.

Mark will work closely with the development and sales teams to understand the needs of the market based on customer feedback and to communicate the advantages of using DataLase products over traditional printing and labeling technologies. Mark will be working with existing and potential customers to communicate the advantages of DataLase products over traditional labeling technologies.

DataLase works with many of the world's leading printing and packaging companies to provide a wide range of innovative laser marking solutions across a diverse range of sectors including product identification and anti-counterfeiting. The innovative DataLase process uses a laser reactive coating, which undergoes a color change reaction from white to black when imaged with a low powered CO2 laser.
