Danfoss Cultivates Strong Partnerships with Distributors

In its strategic support of Danfoss Distributors worldwide, Danfoss provides training, literature, promotional items and event coordination, in addition to significant marketing investment to support and promote awareness of those resources. The result of these efforts has been excellent and well received, as evidenced by the recent success for Danfoss and distributors at trade events.

Cooperating on trade event success
Elektra, a Brazilian distributor, was eager to partner with Danfoss at a recent textile fair, Febratex, held in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina. The event attracted 87,000 visitors and was a great opportunity for a trusted Danfoss distributor like Elektra to get more exposure and to help bring quality products to the textile industry.

Said Elektra representative Frank Spranger, "Danfoss is known inside the textile industry in this region, but as Elektra is fairly new to this sector, the strategic partnership at Febratex helped to reinforce that we are a specialist distributor in Danfoss."

"The state of Santa Catarina is the textile center in Latin America," explained Fernando Dall Evedove, a Danfoss engineer who helped organize the event. As a sales coordinator of Danfoss distributors in Brazil, Fernando has a unique insight into the needs of distributors and customers in this industry. "Elektra services this region, which has many OEMs, including our fourth-largest OEM in Brazil, Albrecht. The closer Danfoss can be to OEMs and to the end customers, the better we can guarantee the best supply service. The relationships Danfoss builds at Febratex help make this possible."

Additionally, partnerships at events like last year's Navalshorefair and the Santos Offshore Fair have helped to highlight the initiatives of distributors Gamatermic and Hidrodema in deep-sea oil exploration. Trade events that serve to bring Danfoss closer to distributors help to ensure not only more reliable service, but also that there will be trusted outlets for products available to customers within the off-shore industries.

This offshore sector moves a whole industrial chain, from large shipyards to the metals industry and steel mills, sectors where Danfoss aims to reach more customers. "Certainly," added Fernando, "cooperative actions with distributors in this sector are important to ensure the highest quality of goods and services for Danfoss' customers."
