A full line of cotton fiber mounted points that provide smooth, controlled blending and finishing for precision applications such as mold repair are available from Rex-Cut Products, Inc. of Fall River, Massachusetts.
Rex-Cut® Cotton Fiber Mounted Points are constructed from nonwoven cotton fiber that is impregnated with aluminum oxide or silicon carbide abrasive grit and then laminated and pressed into popular shapes. Providing smooth controlled blending and finishing, without changing a part's geometry, they are ideal for precision applications such as mold maintenance and repair.
Constantly revealing fresh abrasives as they work, Rex-Cut® Cotton Fiber Mounted Points are non-loading and suitable for use on aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, exotics, and alloys. Standard styles include 'A' and 'B' shapes in varying sizes and thicknesses on 1/8" and ¼" mandrels. Other applications include edge-breaking, chamfering, deflashing, and cleaning.
Rex-Cut® Cotton Fiber Mounted Points are priced according to shape, size, and quantity. Samples and price quotations are available upon request.
