Congressman Joe Baca Visits A&R Tarpaulins Inc.

FONTANA, August 29, 2011 - Congressman Joe Baca (D-Rialto) is set to visit A&R Tarpaulins Inc. September 1, 2011. He will tour the plant and congratulate the Fontana-based manufacturer on its recent accomplishments.

"I believe we should support businesses like A&R Tarpaulins that make products in America and don't outsource jobs," Congressman Baca said. "When products are made in America, people are employed in America, helping to stimulate the economy. The entire country benefits as a result."

A&R Tarpaulins and its subsidiaries recently won a 2010 Small Business Recognition Award from United Launch Alliance LLC; an award from the Air Force; certification from the California Manufacturers and Technology Council's Small Manufacturers Advantage program and a 2010 Spirit of the Entrepreneur Award nomination.

"We are part of the 43rd District of California and having our congressman visit us for the first time is exciting," A&R Vice President Bud Weisbart said. "We look forward to meeting him."

A&R Tarpaulins Inc. and its subsidiaries manufacture fabric products for the trucking, aerospace and architectural industries.
