Committee Members Needed for louver testing standard review.

Volunteers are being sought to serve on AMCA 500 L Review Committee. Members would be expected to participate in drafting, review, and resolution of any and all comments on Standard 500-L, which establishes uniform laboratory test methods for louvers, until revised standard is approved by ANSI as American National Standard. Once technical committee is formed and approved by AMCA International Board of Directors, it is anticipated that work could be completed within 6 months.

Solicitation for Review Committee Volunteers
Arlington Heights, IL, USA- The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International, Inc. is seeking volunteers to serve on the AMCA 500 L Review Committee. If you are interested or know of someone that may be interested, please contact John Pakan (jpakan@amca.org), at AMCA headquarters by September 30, 2010.
About Standard 500-L
Standard 500-L establishes uniform laboratory test methods for louvers. The characteristics to be determined include air leakage, pressure drop, water penetration, wind-driven rain, and operational torque.
Committee members would be expected to participate in the drafting, review and resolution of any and all comments on the standard until the revised standard is approved by ANSI as an American National Standard. Most, and possibly all, meetings will be via conference call. Once the technical committee is formed and approved by the AMCA International Board of Directors, it is anticipated that the work could be completed in six months.
