Cincinnati, OH (June 5, 2007)-The Cincinnati Business Courier recently named Jon Dill, chief financial officer (CFO), Ampac Packaging LLC, as the CFO of the Year. Dill received the top honors in the "large private company" category, in which companies with revenues above $100 million were eligible to compete.
Judged by Ali Malekzadeh and Will McIntosh, the deans of the business schools at Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati, and Don McKee, Ohio Casualty Corp.'s retired CFO, the professionals were measured based on their company's financial performance under their leadership in 2006 and throughout their careers.
"The ones that have played a very broad and pivotal role in the successful growth of the company - it was that combination that led us to the winners," McKee said.
"Jon's honor is richly deserved. In my nearly 30 years in business, I do not know of any other CFO who has garnered as much respect in Cincinnati's financial community as he has. The CFO of the Year Awards were presented on May 23, 2007 in conjunction with the C-Suite gathering, an event for top officers of Courier 250 companies held at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden's new Harold C. Scott Education Center.
Formerly called Cincinnati Inc., the Courier 250 is the Courier's annual ranking of the largest 150 private companies, the region's public companies and national public companies with a large local presence and the 25 largest nonprofits.
