McLean, VA - The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) announced that it has reached an agreement with the Chilean Association of Food Companies (Chilealimentos) to participate in PROCESS EXPO 2011. In so doing, Chilealimentos joins Mexican associations CANAINCA, CANILEC, and ComeCarne in supporting the biennial tradeshow and sponsoring the Seminario de Innovaciones, PROCESS EXPO's day-long educational programming in Spanish taking place on October 31, 2011.

"We couldn't be happier about the interest in PROCESS EXPO that is building among our customer groups down in Latin America," said Scott Scriven, Chairman of the Food Processing Suppliers Association and President of Weber, Inc. "Chilealimentos is a group that we have long wanted to work with. Not only are their members responsible for the majority of food and beverage production across all market segments in Chile, they have been actively growing exports of these products for many years now. As such, these food processors have an excellent appreciation of the importance of meeting global quality and food safety standards and a good understanding of the technology that they need. They are the perfect partners for PROCESS EXPO exhibitors."

"The member companies of Chilealimentos are very excited to be involved with PROCESS EXPO," said Guillermo González Galdames, General Manager of Chilealimentos. "It is a unique opportunity to join forces with some of the biggest names in the food and beverage equipment industry. This alliance will help us to network with these manufacturers and provide them with a much better understanding of our market and the special needs that Chilean processors have. We are confident that this will be a fruitful relationship that helps both parties reach their goals."
