Celestica Recognizes Murata Electronics as an Honouree in Its 2010 Total Cost of Ownership Supplier Awards Programme

Hoofddorp, Netherlands: Murata Electronics today announced that it has been recognized as an honouree in the 2010 Total Cost of Ownership (TCOO"§) Supplier Award program by Celestica, a global leader in the delivery of end-to-end product lifecycle solutions. Celestica's awards program recognizes suppliers that support Celestica's TCOO sourcing strategy to provide its customers with the best possible supply chain solution for their products.

"Murata is proud to be recognized by Celestica," said Rob Cook, Key Account Manager, Murata Electronics. "We feel that this distinction validates our drive to meet Celestica's needs in providing leading-edge passive electronics component solutions at a competitive price to their global supply chain."

This marks the fifth year of Celestica's TCOO Supplier Awards program, which evaluates and recognizes the top performers in Celestica's global network of over 3,000 suppliers. Celestica's TCOO system is focused on evaluating supplier performance by measuring the total cost to produce, deliver and support products and services beyond the supplier invoice price. As such, it considers the following supplier attributes: quality, delivery, technology, service, pricing and flexibility.

"A synchronized supply chain is critical to our business success, and the 2010 TCOO Supplier Award honourees have demonstrated their commitment to embracing this vision through excellent service and value for Celestica and its customers," said Harvinder Sembhi, Vice President, Supply Chain Management and Chief Procurement Officer, Celestica. "Congratulations to Murata Electronics on being named a 2010 TCOO Supplier Award honouree."
