Press release date: December 30, 2006

Bloomington, IN - December 30, 2006 - Carlisle Industrial Brake and Friction has launched a new website at Carlislebrake.com touting their horizontal integration which ranges from hydraulic controls to brakes and friction. The highlight of the new site is an expanded products section, featuring detailed information on brake products, industrial friction materials, hydraulic controls and trailer brake actuators. Among the applications for Carlisle products are off-highway vehicles, construction and mobile equipment, industrial machinery and equipment, lawn and garden, and consumer appliances. Carlisle Industrial Brake & Friction is ISO9001:2000 certified.

Carlisle brake products include park brakes, dry caliper service brakes, combination brakes, full circle brakes, wet park brakes and drum service brakes. Carlisle formulates and manufactures non-asbestos friction materials such as wet discs and plates, disc pads, molded linings, flat sheets, extruded coils, lining segments and geartooth facings. Hydrastar and Electrastar trailer brake actuators and a complete line of hydraulic valves, actuators and other control products are detailed. The new website provides a general description, schematic drawings, applications, formulas and specifications for all of these products.

Also covered in the site is the Carlisle design and development process to streamline and optimize the design and manufacture of a new brake or friction material. The design solutions process defines customer requirements through brake or hydraulic questionnaires, followed by design engineering for optimal operation and manufacturability. Carlisle then builds prototypes and conducts testing in simulated real world conditions prior to production manufacturing.

At Carlislebrake.com you can learn about the company's history, sister divisions, facilities, quality standards, news, employment opportunities, markets, technical support, and sales contacts and distributors.
