Calcarb Ltd., the Bellshill, Scotland-based manufacturer and international supplier of premium high purity Carbon Bonded Carbon Fiber (CBCF) based rigid insulation and precursor materials, has hired David Nimmo as its International Sales and Marketing Manager. David will oversee the company's global sales and marketing efforts to vacuum furnace, aerospace, solar, semiconductor, photovoltaic, crystal growing, and other CBCF markets.
"David represents an excellent addition to our international team," notes Hugh McLeod, Calcarb's Managing Director. "His knowledge of our key markets will be a valuable asset, as will his background in technical sales and service."
Most recently, David served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Frontier Semiconductor. He has also been Vice President of Sales for Optical Metrology Innovations Ltd. and European Operations Manager for ADE International Corporation. His experience includes employment as a field service engineer and as a test engineer. David trained as a radio telegraphist in the British Army's Royal Signals unit and commanded a signals section. He also served in an equipment evaluation and training unit. A resident of Towcester, Northants in England, David's hobbies include flying and sailing. He holds a Private Pilot License.
Calcarb Ltd. is a fully owned subsidiary of Consarc Engineering, which is part of the Inductotherm Group, Rancocas, NJ, USA. Calcarb produces a comprehensive range of low and medium density carbon-based products. The company is building a new global headquarters and expanded manufacturing plant in the Eurocentral business park, which is well underway and on schedule for completion by mid 2008. The purpose-built facility represents a £12.5M/$25M investment that will include state-of-the-art equipment and a threefold increase in production capacity. Until the Eurocentral facility is completed, production will continue at the Bellshill site.
