CONEXPO Asia 2007 Update: Exhibit Space Sales and Advance Attendee Registration Going Strong as Show Nears

With less than two months to go before show opening, the CONEXPO Asia 2007 exposition continues to show growth in exhibitors, attendee registration and co-located industry events. CONEXPO Asia 2007 will also feature an expanded education program, with more types of working equipment demonstrations and classroom learning opportunities than the inaugural show, held in 2006.

CONEXPO Asia 2007 attendee pre-registration is already tracking at triple the number of registrations compared to the same time period for 2006, as more and more construction industry professionals realize the value of participating in this high-quality industry event.

Attendees already signed up for CONEXPO Asia 2007 come from 60 countries around the world, with currently 57 percent Chinese and 43 percent non-Chinese. The top countries for attendance to date are China, USA, Canada, India and Australia. CONEXPO Asia show management also expects significant attendance from Russia, the Middle East, the Philippines and throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Within China the top registrations by province are Guangdong, Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing and Fujian.

"CONEXPO Asia is increasingly being recognized as having not only regional but also global appeal, both among exhibitors and, above all, attendees," stated Show Manager Petra Kaiser.

Additionally, CONEXPO Asia 2007 is attracting high-level management personnel with 33 percent of pre-registered attendees noting they are company president/owner, 14 percent citing the category of vice president/general manager/chief financial officers, and 20 percent registering as marketing/sales manager. More than 55 percent of registrants are contractors or equipment dealers, and materials producers and equipment rental professionals are also well represented.

"These decision makers will find an industry-focused learning environment of exhibits and education that will give them business solutions for the work site and office," stated Al Cervero, Senior Vice President of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), show owner and producer.

CONEXPO Asia show management is meeting with key government agencies and customer groups, especially in South China, in middle to late October, another indication of the importance that show organizers place on attracting qualified attendance to the event. Visits are planned to several cities throughout Guangdong and Fujian provinces as well as Hong Kong and Macau.
