COADE Names Joseph Dixon as Product Manager for Plant Design Solutions

HOUSTON, Feb 13: COADE, Inc. announced today the appointment of Joseph Dixon as its Product Manager for Plant Design Solutions. In this position, he will provide industry-specific focus to the ongoing development of the software applications comprising COADE's CADWorx Plant Design Suite, as well as serve as liaison to the company's reseller community and its global user base. The CADWorx Plant Design Suite includes CADWorx Plant, CADWorx P&ID, CADWorx Datasheets, CADWorx Steel, CADWorx Equipment and CADWorx FieldPipe for Leica fieldPro.
Mr. Dixon brings a broad range of industry knowledge to his role. Prior to joining COADE, Dixon spent over 20 years at Toromont Energy Systems Inc., most recently serving as design manager, specializing in plant and piping design. During his career, Dixon has headed up design projects of varying sizes, working closely with fabricators and site personnel. Through his extensive project work, he has developed a depth of experience that covers the management of plant engineering projects, the creation of intelligent 3D plant designs and 2D schematic drawings, and the efficient production of project deliverables such as plant layouts, isometrics and material listings.
Thomas J. Van Laan, PE, president of COADE, gave his perspective on the appointment. "In his previous position, Joe began using CADWorx in 1998 and eventually spearheaded the expansion of CADWorx to his company's international offices, so he knows the product very well," Van Laan said.
