C.F. Yang, Receives AMCA International Distinguished Service Award



Arlington Heights, IL USA-C.F. Yang, Managing Director, of Kruger Ventilation Industries Pte Ltd., received the Air Movement and Control Association's (AMCA) highest honor for distinguished service, not only for service to AMCA but the HVACR industry as a whole. The award was presented to Mr. Yang during the AMCA 56th Annual meeting held this year in Kauai, Hawaii by current AMCA President, Michael Barry, President of Twin City Fan Companies, Ltd. of Plymouth, Minnesota.

AMCA International's Distinguished Service Award is presented only when someone such as Mr. Yang who has dedicated themselves, and their career to the improvement of the HVACR Industry, and the betterment of the environment.

Throughout his lengthy career Mr. Yang has demonstrated his commitment to advancing the HVACR Industry by bringing AMCA standards to the Asian Markets, and leveling the playing field for HVACR Manufacturers who manufacture and sell into this region. From 1999 thru 2010, Mr. Yang served as Chairman of AMCA Asia Pacific Rim Region, and also served on the AMCA Board of Directors as a Director from 2003 to present. During his tenure with AMCA, Mr. Yang promoted the AMCA Certified Ratings Program (CRP) to the Asian markets through frequent technical seminars in Asia to consultant firms, manufacturers, contractors and mechanical engineering associations

Mr. Yang graduated from National Taiwan University with a degree in Economics in 1964. After graduation, he started his career in HVAC industries in 1967, first, working with the Refrigeration Compressor Manufacturers, and later with the Air Conditioning Manufacturers - Chiller Units, Air Handling Units and Fan Coil Units.

In 1985, he set up a joint venture company - Kruger Asia with Mr. Kruger (a Swiss national) in Singapore. In 1998, Kruger Asia entered into the fan industries and set up 16 associates in Asia to provide closer service to their customers.

As he is approaching 70, Mr. Yang is retiring from the AMCA Board of Directors in October 2011 and plans to retire from the industry sometime after 2012.

The Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. is a not-for-profit international association for manufacturers of air movement and air control devices--primarily fans, louvers, dampers, air curtains, airflow measurement stations, acoustic attenuators and other air system components for the industrial, commercial, and residential markets throughout the world.
