Burckhardt Compression AG, Switzerland, acquired the reciprocating compressors business from Sulzer Brasil and opens a new subsidiary with a complete service center, including the first Burckhardt valve shop in Brazil, South America.
Operating since September 1, 2005, Burckhardt Compression Brazil Ltda. represents an important goal in the Burckhardt Compression global strategy. "This important step shows the commitment of the organization with customers located in South America" says Fabio Santos, General Manager of Burckhardt Compression Brazil.
The newly opened subsidiary will continue its operation with the same staff which was responsible for the Burckhardt compressor business in Brazil, South America, for many years. The company provides the full range of services for all reciprocating compressors such as valve service, spare parts logistics, engineering services, field service, component repair as well as extensive revamps. The local application engineering capability is also able to develop and produce compressor packages for a big range of applications.
