Blue Coat Announces the Publishing of an Important IPv6 Reference Book

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 4 -- Blue Coat® Systems (NASDAQ:BCSI), the leader in secure content and application delivery, today announced that its senior technologist, Qing Li, has completed co-writing a new reference book on Internet Protocol version six (IPv6) core protocols and it will be available from Morgan Kaufmann press beginning October 10, 2006.

The new text is intended to help software and hardware designers and developers transition smoothly from the current standard for Internet architecture, IPv4, to the future standard, IPv6. The book provides in-depth coverage of the IPv6 standards and offers line-by-line code walk-through with meticulous explanations on the KAME software set.

Li is responsible for the design and development of Blue Coat's networking stack, which includes strategy and implementation of IPv6 for Blue Coat's SG appliances for security, control and acceleration of Web interactions between users and content or applications. He holds various patents, both granted and pending, on network and kernel design algorithms. Li has been working in the networking industry for over ten years and holds a Masters of Science Honors in Advanced High Performance Computing from Santa Clara University and Bachelors of Science with Specialization in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, Canada. He is also a visiting researcher at the KEIO Research Institute at KEIO University in Japan.
