Pittsburg, CA - June 12, 2008 - The Association for High Technology Distribution (AHTD) has invited Ray Harrington, Vice President of Business Development at Bishop-Wisecarver Corporation, to join its Manufacturer Advisory Council. "AHTD is devoted to advocating the value of the Automation Solutions Provider (ASP) within the high tech automation channel. Much of the association's efforts are focused on creating, building, maintaining, and improving efficient, profitable, and mutually beneficial relationships between ASPs and their manufacturer suppliers," according to the AHTD.

The Manufacturer Advisory Council is comprised of 10 business executives representing AHTD manufacturer members, and is one of several projects and initiatives that utilize the talent within AHTD's membership. The Council oversees manufacturers' involvement in AHTD activities and programs, and promotes manufacturer/distributor partnerships.

"Industry dynamics are constantly changing as customers' needs evolve," says Harrington. "I am pleased to join this group of dedicated individuals who collaborate to address key issues and make recommendations to help manufacturer/distributor relationships thrive."

Harrington also serves on the Industrial Relations Committee at Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA), a strategic affiliate of AHTD.

Bishop-Wisecarver and its executives have a long history of active participation on industry organization boards, committees and task forces, as well as state and local groups dedicated to industry, manufacturing, technical career and workforce issues.
